Which DP version introduces acyclic services for asynchronous configuration and diagnostics?
B — DP-V1
DP-V1 is the version that adds acyclic read/write services and DP-V1 alarms on top of the cyclic exchange, which is exactly the asynchronous configuration and diagnostic capability described. DP-V0 is wrong because it only covers the standard cyclic I/O exchange with no acyclic channel. DP-V2 is wrong because it adds isochronous mode, slave-to-slave communication (DXB) and time stamping, but the acyclic services themselves were already specified in DP-V1. DP-V3 is wrong because no such version exists in the PROFIBUS DP specification.
Mnemonic: V0 = cyclic, V1 = acyclic + alarms, V2 = isochronous + slave-to-slave. If a question mentions alarms or parameter read/write at run time, the answer is almost always V1.
