CertifBus is an independent KNX Basic practice bank. It supports theory exam preparation and does not replace accredited training or hands-on ETS practice. Exercises are available in French, English and German. A selection of questions with answers, explanations and references is free to browse; the full practice bank requires paid access.

How exercises and explanations are built

CertifBus provides independent KNX Basic preparation exercises, rather than copies of official exam questions. Writing and translations may use AI assistance under human supervision. A cited reference does not imply approval by the KNX Association or review by a KNX Tutor.

What the technical checks establish

The import process documented in the project checks the structure of the question bank: French, English and German translations, explanations and references, skill links, and exactly duplicated wording. These data consistency checks do not prove that every answer, reference or translation is technically correct. The status of specialist review is described below.

Read an explanation alongside its source

After answering, read the explanation and restate the rule behind the result. Identify conditions and exceptions instead of memorising only “true” or “false”. Then consult the cited document, section, page and edition where provided. An incomplete or inaccessible reference cannot resolve a doubt on its own: compare it with your course documentation or ask your trainer for clarification.

Interpret a practice result

Practice accuracy and a mock exam’s net score are different measures. CertifBus uses this mock scoring rule: correct answer +1, incorrect answer −0.5, unanswered 0. A result describes your performance on the questions you encountered; it does not predict success in the official exam, validate practical skills or award certification. Official requirements are set by the KNX Association and your training centre.

Proposed criteria for future reviews

For a future editorial review, our proposed checklist is to compare the statement and explanation with the exact source passage; specify the edition and applicable conditions; check exceptions; compare meaning across all three translations; ask a specialist to review ambiguous points; and record the reviewer, date and scope. This is a method to formalise, not a statement that these steps have already been completed for the whole bank.

Cited sources

Question pages show their references: document title, section and page where available. Some resources are public; others require documentation from your training centre or a purchase from the publisher. The links below identify official reference resources. They do not replace checking the section and edition relevant to each question.

Editorial responsibility and expert review

Writing, translation and editorial checks are separate from review by a KNX tutor. We do not present the whole bank as KNX Tutor-approved. We aim to arrange a specialist review with an identified tutor. Any published review should state who performed it and what it covered.

CertifBus is not affiliated with any certification body or manufacturer. The KNX Association does not control our editorial choices or receive royalties from our sales. The project is funded by paid access to question banks and, in time, training partnerships that will be explicitly disclosed. KNX® belongs to its owner. We use the name descriptively without implying endorsement.
