- Within a KNX area, the maximum number of Line Couplers is 15, one per subsidiary line.2. TP Topology · Bereichsbegrenzungen
- In an installation predating 2018, a maximum of 64 sensors, actuators, line couplers and backbone couplers can be connected to a TP main line.2. TP Topology · Offizielle Musterprüfung 4
- BACnet MS/TP uses a token-passing protocol between the Master nodes of an RS-485 segment: the token holder is allowed to communicate during a bounded time slot and then passes the token to the next Master in the logical ring.5. MS/TP · Token Passing
- When an MS/TP segment is not working, the classic checks are: 120 ohm terminations at both ends, bias resistors (typically 680 ohm) installed on one device, a unique MAC per device, the same baud rate on every device, and correct cable polarity.22. Practical · MS/TP-Segment Troubleshooting
- A Modbus RTU bus on RS-485 supports up to 32 nodes per segment (extendable with repeaters), requires 120 ohm termination resistors at both ends of the bus, and biasing resistors to define the idle state.3. Modbus RTU · RS-485 Multi-Drop
