Questions using this term
- In an installation predating 2018, a maximum of 64 sensors, actuators, line couplers and backbone couplers can be connected to a TP main line.2. TP Topology · Offizielle Musterprüfung 4
- PROFINET supports several physical topologies: star (via switches), line (daisy-chain through ports integrated in the devices) and ring (with MRP for redundancy), and they may be combined within the same network.3. Topology & cabling · Unterstützte Topologien
- PROFIBUS profiles (PROFIsafe, PROFIdrive, PA Profile) are identical between PROFIBUS and PROFINET, which lets you migrate the network infrastructure without having to re-certify the safety, drive or process application functions.10. Migration to PROFINET · Wiederverwendung der Profile
- A typical chemical plant uses PROFIBUS DP as backbone (DCS level 2) plus PROFIBUS PA segments for the transmitters located in Ex ia / ib zones (lower process layers), an architecture which will remain dominant against PROFINET-APL for another 5-10 years in process industry.21. Use cases · Anwendungsfall Chemieanlage
- In a mixed KNX-DALI architecture, a DALI-2 presence sensor (sitting on the DALI bus) can drive only the room's DALI control gear, while a separate KNX presence sensor handles room-level commands (HVAC, blinds).16. Integration · Mehrfachnutzung KNX-/DALI-Sensorik
