Question

To expose EnOcean devices in the Matter ecosystem (Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung), a Matter Bridge represents each EnOcean device as a virtual Matter endpoint with the appropriate cluster (OnOff, Level Control, Sensor).

EnOceanLearnMatterHard
Answer

True

An EnOcean to Matter Bridge listens to or polls the EnOcean radio, and for every taught device it instantiates a virtual Matter endpoint. The EEP is mapped onto Matter clusters: F6-02-01 (rocker push-button) becomes an OnOff cluster, A5-02-05 (temperature sensor) becomes a TemperatureMeasurement cluster, and D5-00-01 (contact) becomes a BooleanState cluster. End users can then configure their EnOcean devices through the Home app on iOS or Google Home as if they were native Matter products. NodOn has announced a Matter bridge (timeline to be verified: initial target was 2025-2026).

Preparation tip

When you scope a Matter bridge project, always count the endpoint limit per fabric (Apple, Google) rather than the EnOcean device count; a single hub typically tops out at 50 to 150 Matter endpoints, which becomes the real ceiling on a large retrofit.
