Definition

File extension of a manufacturer product catalogue. Signed by the manufacturer, importable into ETS to add a device to the local catalogue. Not to be confused with .knxproj (project).

Questions using this term

A GSDML file (Generic Station Description Markup Language) is provided by the manufacturer of a PROFINET IO Device and is imported into the engineering tool (e.g. TIA Portal) to integrate the device into the project.
