Delete your account

From the app

While signed in, open the Account tab, tap the gear icon at the top right (Settings), then “Delete my account” at the very bottom of the screen, and confirm with “Delete permanently”. The deletion is carried out as soon as you confirm; the app then signs you out and erases your account data stored on the phone.

On the web, without the app

At the bottom of this page, after the lists of data deleted and kept: sign in with the email address of the account to delete, enter the one-time code received by email, then confirm the deletion. It is carried out as soon as you confirm.

What we delete

• Your profile (display name, language, exam date). Your account is permanently closed: it can no longer be used to sign in.
• Your training history: sessions, answers and progress.
• Your statistics.
• Your flagged questions.
• Your browser notification subscriptions, your optional sign-ups (newsletter, waiting list) and your survey answers.
• Your email address, removed from your account (replaced by a hash) and from our mailing lists, except for the items kept below.
• Your email address in the centre invitations sent to you (an invitation that is still open is cancelled).

What we keep, and why

• Payment and purchase records (including a purchase made in the app through Google Play), the purchase receipts and the sign-in email we sent after a purchase, for at least 10 years: this is a legal accounting obligation. Their deletion at the end of that period is not yet automated.
• The messages you sent to support and your question reports, detached from your account, with no maximum period set to date. They may contain your email address and keep a record of the correspondence; you can ask us to erase them by writing to us.
• If you had unsubscribed from our emails, your email address stays on our unsubscribe list, so that we do not send them to you again.
• Without your email address in clear: the closed account (internal identifier, hash of the email address, creation and last sign-in dates), to which any purchase records remain linked; a record of the deletion (date and origin of the request), so that we can show it was handled; if you were enrolled in a centre, the closed record of that link, without your results (centre, group, dates, access used), which accounts for the access the centre used. No maximum period has been set to date for these items.
• The data processed by Google for the app’s ads is not held by CertifBus: Google keeps it under its own rules. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in the Android settings.

What this changes

• Deletion is irreversible: we cannot restore your account or your history.
• Any active paid access ends immediately, with no automatic refund. Refund conditions remain those that applied to your purchase.
• If a training centre follows your progress, you leave that centre.
• Owners and administrators of an active centre cannot delete their account themselves: write to us to arrange the deletion without disrupting the centre.
